How should you prepare for
a psychic reading?
If your reading is going to
be "live", either by chat or by video, bring a notebook and a pen!
Taking notes is very important during your session. Things that may not
make sense at the time of your reading may prove very important later.
By taking good notes while with your psychic, you can refer back to
those notes at a later time.
Sedra believes that
divination readings can lead her anywhere... and not necessarily in the
direction the client expects. Some members have arrived for Tarot
readings with Sedra, only to experience a Medium Reading instead.
Be wary of psychics who
claim to be able to contact dead friends or relatives on demand. In
Sedra's experience, if a departed loved one has a message for you, it
will be delivered to you - not fetched for you.
This basic misunderstanding
can lead to disappointment when obtaining readings, whether
through a live, local psychic or online readers. People who seek a medium
reading fully expecting to hear from someone specific are often
surprised to hear from someone totally unexpected instead. Please also
take comfort in the knowledge that loved ones who have departed often
appear to us without the assistance of a medium at all. Sometimes, you
just have to read the signs.
When you obtain readings
from online psychics, relax and open your mind. You should always be
able to ask questions during a reading or session.
However, many Mediums prefer that you do not provide specific
information regarding the person you are trying to contact. Giving up
too much information can muddle the messages coming through. When
receiving a Medium reading, it is best to remain somewhat quiet, and
simply comment or respond briefly to the reader when asked a question.
For example, if your reader
states "I am sensing a female and getting a faint smell of camphor..
this person is showing me pink flowers on wallpaper", the appropriate
response would be either "OK - I think I understand who that may be
referring to", or "Hmm - I'm sorry, but that's not making much sense to
me"
In either case above,
you should be writing the message down on your notepad! You will then be
able to read and discuss the message later with family and friends who
may be able to validate what it means.
What you probably don't want
to do in Medium psychic readings when given information like the
example above is say "Oh yeah - That would be my Aunt Edith... She
passed away 2 years ago with a heart condition."
By revealing the above
details, the psychic is now no longer sure whether what he or she picks
up after that point is coming from the source, or from suggestions you
planted in his or her mind. Similarly, you now will invalidate
additional information furnished to you during the reading because you
will feel like saying "Yeah - well I already revealed enough information
for you to figure that out".
Psychic readers give
readings in
many formats. Enter your session with an open mind, neither believing
everything your are told, nor automatically discounting everything
either. The best approach to all readings is one of "healthy skepticism"
Sedra has done past life
readings, helped people discover more about their spirit guides, offered
clairvoyant/divination readings, offered meditation tips, helped people
unlock their own psychic potential and has performed medium readings
just through live text chats alone.
That's not to say that what
you expect to happen won't happen - but if you are given information
that you did not expect, or do not understand, take good notes. As you
discuss your readings later with family and friends, those notes may
start to make sense!
